Designed to guide each Green500 member towards the goal of achieving tangible carbon reductions by focusing on an individual Action Plan. All carbon savings are independently verified and a leading expert will guide your organisation through the process step by step.

Financial rewards

A well thought out CO₂ reduction scheme may result in substantial benefits to members, for example, through reduced energy costs. One member was able to identify savings equivalent to £170,000 in the first year alone.

Reputation

Being part of an exclusive club at the forefront of environmental strategies, backed by independent and authoritative assessors, will place your organisation in a vanguard position in the markets in which it operates. Green500 members can display a membership badge on their marketing collateral (e.g. website, stationery) that distinguishes them from the rest.

Networking

Monthly seminars are held on topics of interest to Green500 organisations and they can also benefit from free membership to the leading 2degrees network on sustainable strategies.

Award

Every year, the best of the best is picked by independent auditors. Winners are awarded one of five different badges that are presented at a high-profile awards ceremony hosted by the Mayor of London.

Compliance

The Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) scheme will commence in 2010, when a number of organisations will need to meet stringent registration criteria. Green500 members could be ready to meet this new challenge.
