The programme includes a number of services, namely a structured carbon mentoring scheme providing expert help and advice on reducing participants’ London carbon footprint. It is essential that this advice is translated into action and so critically, Green500 includes a certification element. This takes the form of an annual Green500 awards ceremony hosted by the Mayor of London, which publicly rewards the efforts of member organisations.
Carbon Mentoring Service
Members of Green500 will each receive an assessment of their London carbon footprint by a designated carbon mentor. Subsequently an individual ‘Action Plan’ will be tailored to address each company’s specific carbon needs. This will offer estimated energy, cost and carbon savings as well as information on an expected payback period for each action successfully implemented.
Members will also gain access to a comprehensive list of suppliers to guide participant organisations in successfully implementing their Action Plan. Furthermore, members will receive invitations to a host of networking and ideas sharing events hosted by the Green500 team and attended by members of the scheme.
