The Green500 was launched on 11th December 2007 by the ex-Mayor of London Ken Livingstone at the Building Centre near Goodge Street.
London ex-Mayor Ken Livingstone said at the launch on Tuesday; ‘The Green500 is a unique combination of a carbon management service plus an award scheme to reward performance. The results will be publicised so that Londoners can see what businesses are doing to combat climate change.’
The ex-Mayor was joined at the event by representatives from a host of London’s leading organisations including M&S and Eurostar, who have recently signed up to the carbon management programme.
